About Brigit Span
Brigit is a professional flutist and music educator with over two decades of experience. After completing her degree in Flute Performance at Artez university of the Arts in the Netherlands, she founded her own music school, teaching both children and adults. Over the past 20 years, hundreds of children have taken their first steps in music and learned to read notes under her guidance, both privately and in primary schools.

For more than ten years, she served as Principal Flutist of the East Gelders Symphony Orchestra, performing at a professional level while continuing to teach. Several of her former students have progressed to advanced studies, with some reaching the international classical stage.

Now based in Fourways, Johannesburg, Brigit brings European conservatory standards together with personal attention and warmth. She currently teaches as a flute specialist at St Stithians College in Sandton and at the Eco Montessori in Chartwell, strengthening her connection with leading schools in the area.Brigit is calm, structured and encouraging. Helping each student grow at their own pace while maintaining high musical standards. Her lessons build confidence, discipline and a lifelong appreciation for music.
